History Of School

The Diocesan Education Board (C.N.I) under the Chairmanship of the (Late)Bishop A.R. Yusuf accepted the proposal of Dr. S.D. Chand, Principal Ewing Christian College to start and English-medium primary school from the academic year 1992-93 in the vacant building of the Rhea hostel as a branch of Bishop Johnson School & College.

Registration of children in preparatory class and I stated at Bishop Johnson School from July 1992. 41 children were admitted.

School started in 3 renovated rooms of the Rhea hostel building.

Mrs. C.N. Browne was appointed the headmistress along with two teachers- Mrs. Rubby Solomon and Km. Suneeta Lyall, 3 supporting staff- Sri. Ram Chandra, Jokhai Ram and Smt. Laxmi, and later Mr. Ajai Kadam was appointed in the office. Dr. Samuel John, Bursar of E.C College looked after the school accounts.

Class II was added.

The School after completion of one year was formally inaugurated by the (late) Bishop A.R. Yusuf.
